Socialization

When the puppies are first born only the adults in our house handle them. After two weeks the children are aloud to pat them. By three weeks the kids can hold them while sitting. At 3 ½ weeks our puppies spend their waking hours every day being socialized with our family. They are not confined to the whelping box but are brought into our living environment. We spend extra time conditioning them to the household environment. They have no fears of vacuum cleaners, loud noise or even thunder. They are conditioned to being handled and touched anywhere and everywhere. The puppies get their nails clipped while at our home more than three times as well as groomed.
